I haven’t written much since starting grad school, but I hope to include a number of samples here, for the curious observer. I’m not too big on short stories, although I’ve done a few; my real passion lies with novels and longer fiction. I’ve “completed” three manuscripts to date, but none of them are in any condition to be seen by discerning eyes. I hope to post scene snippets here at some point, especially with National Novel Writing Month just around the corner.
Short Stories
Petals - This is a work of flash fiction I wrote about two years ago, in response to a writing prompt. I usually don’t write short stories, but when I do they tend to be like this. I’d almost call it prose-poetry, but I’ll let you decide for yourself.
Excerpts
Whispers: the school at night – just a quick scene from my 2010 Nanowrimo novel, Whispers. Comes at the beginning of Chapter Two. (still very rough)
